In what format may users submit content updates for publication?
MicroScribe’s preference is to receive updates in MS Word format, however, we are usually able to work with most file types. If we receive a document we are unable to work with, we will report that to the customer and discuss solutions.
Does the service allow users to search keywords?
All content in the online board policy manual is indexed providing a superior search capability. In addition, searches are executed in seconds and results displayed in multiple formats to accommodate user preference. Search terms are highlighted within search results and an analysis of search terms is provided with each search. Finally, alternate word forms are automatically searched and suggested search terms based on terms found only in the board policy manual further facilitate user searches.
What will my organization’s IT staff have to do?
MicroScribe hosts each site on its secure cloud-based servers. All editing, file management, and document manipulation is handled by MicroScribe editors and technologists. This means that no state IT effort or resources are required beyond adding your site’s URL to your organization’s web site.
